Altétude is the result of a collaboration between Upterior and Thomas Blank, a master glass artist from Switzerland. The exhibition, titled after the words altitude and études, studies the way in which perception can change by moving away from the surface and shifting the perspective.

In the Unearth exhibition at bitforms gallery in New York, artist Sara Ludy applies attributes distinctive of her digital practice to sculptures. Transparent, enmeshed forms made of Waken Glass transition elements of the artist’s visual language into three dimensions.

Upterior is honored and excited to be named a top 30 finalist in the 2018 Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy Innovation Award, recognizing the patent-pending materials developed by the company. Upterior joins the LVMH Luxury Lab in Paris during Viva Technology 2018, Europe’s biggest startup and tech event, to present its company vision and Waken Glass.

Upterior stages a private pre-launch viewing of the Waken Glass invention for designers, artists, collaborators, and art and design enthusiasts. The event takes places at a loft in Basel designed by Herzog and de Meuron, bringing Upterior design and research into a residential setting.
